Bookings for classes, events and accommodation
Relay Queue lets visitors book straight from your Total CMS website, and keeps everything in your own admin, with no outside booking service and no monthly fees. It's for studios, workshops, tour and event businesses, and small accommodation.
It works two ways. For classes and events, each session has a set number of spots and visitors book one or more. For accommodation and anything else booked by date range, you set how many identical units you have (rooms, cabins, equipment) and visitors pick their own dates, checked night by night.
What it adds
- On your site: a booking page listing open sessions with spots left, and a booking form you can put on any page. Use the ready-made booking page, a Page Block, a Twig function, or a [booking-form] shortcode in any content area.
- In your admin: a Relay Queue page showing every upcoming session with its bookings. Approve, waitlist or cancel a booking with one click, and the customer is emailed automatically.
- Fair and tidy: bookings wait as pending until you approve them; full sessions take waitlist bookings; when several arrive together the earliest gets the spot; booking closes a set time before the start.
- Emails: booking received, confirmed, cancelled, couldn't accept, and a reminder before the day, all through your own Mailer templates.
Relay Queue Pro adds:
- Stripe payments when people book: full price or a deposit, set per session.
- A customer page linked from every email, with Add to calendar buttons (Apple, Outlook and Google) and online cancelling.
- An automatic waitlist: when a place frees up, the next booking moves up.
- Repeating sessions in a few clicks, printable attendee lists and CSV export.
Setting it up
Upload the zip in Settings → Extensions, enable it, and open Relay Queue in the sidebar. Click Setup: it creates the sessions and bookings collections and the email templates in your business name and colours, and checks the automations cron job. Then put the booking form on a page, and add your first session in the Booking Sessions collection. For Stripe (Pro), the Setup page walks you through each step, with your webhook address filled in.
Good to know
- Needs the Pro edition of Total CMS, because its emails and reminders run as automations, a Pro feature. It also needs the automations cron job (php bin/tcms automations:process), which sends them.
- Stripe payments need your own Stripe account. Refunds are made in your Stripe dashboard.
- Updates install from the Relay Queue page in one click, checksum-verified.
- Pro licence: A$46.95 once, for every site you build and every 1.x release, with no expiry. Or get all three Pro extensions in the Pro Bundle for A$69.
