Memberships for your Total CMS site
Cookie Club turns your site into a members' site: people sign up, you approve them (or let them straight in), and members-only pages open only to them. It's built on Total CMS's own logins, so passwords and password resets are handled by Total CMS itself. It's for clubs, studios, associations and anyone with content or pages just for members.
What it adds
- On your site: four pages, each one line in Site Builder: sign-up, login (with "Keep me logged in" and password reset), a member's account page (their plan, status and details, plus a change-password form), and a notice page that tells visitors why they can't see a page.
- Members-only pages: tick members-only on any Site Builder page, or choose it on the Locked pages tab. Visitors are sent to log in and brought straight back. cookie_club_can() lets you show or hide parts of a page in your own templates.
- In your admin: a Cookie Club page with count tiles (awaiting approval, active, expiring, suspended), search and filters, and Approve, Suspend, expiry dates, notes and Add a member.
- Emails: new sign-up (to you), confirm your email, awaiting approval, welcome and approved. Use the ready-made templates, your own, or switch any off.
Setting it up
Upload the zip in Settings → Extensions, enable it, and open Cookie Club in the sidebar. On the Setup tab, fill in your business details and click Run setup. It creates the member fields, the members collection, your first plan with its own locked-down access group, and the email templates. Then make the four pages in Site Builder (the Setup tab has Copy buttons for each line), and lock your first page.
Good to know
- Needs the Pro edition of Total CMS 3.6 or later.
- Free: one membership plan. Cookie Club Pro (coming) adds more plans, renewal reminders, CSV export and import, and Stripe payments (one-off, annual and monthly).
- Members can't see the admin or read anything through Total CMS's API: their access group has every permission switched off. Every form checks a security token, and sign-up has a bot trap and a rate limit.
- Total CMS only offers passkeys to admin users, so members log in with a password.
- Updates install from the Cookie Club page in one click, checksum-verified.
