About the build

The official Total CMS website, built on Total CMS itself. Every page is a Site Builder template kept in git, and every word on it is content edited live in the admin.

  • Content: articles, release notes, honest comparisons with other CMSs, and buyer's guides, each with its own RSS feed where it fits.
  • Directories: extensions and designers, plus this showcase. Members submit their own work, and it stays hidden until it's approved.
  • Members: sign-up, verified email, a public profile at /@handle, and badges for the sites they build.
  • Agents: an MCP server at totalcms.co/mcp, so an AI agent can read the content and draft edits.
What the client changes
No client here: members keep their own profiles and showcase entries current, and the articles and comparisons are edited in the admin or drafted by an agent over MCP.
Why Total CMS
If the site that sells Total CMS couldn't run on it, I'd want to know first. Everything a customer would build is here, from the member accounts and moderation to the directories and the MCP server, so this is where I find the rough edges before anyone else does.

I don’t just build Total CMS, I use it every day, and I love it. This site is where I feel what our customers feel, so if something is clumsy, I notice it first and fix it.
