About the build
The marketing and reference site for PostOnly, a write-only posting app for Mac, iPhone and iPad. Built on Total CMS with the Yeti CSS framework: every page is a Site Builder template kept in git, and the content is edited live in the admin.
- Network reference: a page for each network PostOnly posts to, with its limits, image rules, setup steps and caveats, so the answers live in one place.
- Releases and articles: release notes and articles, each with its own RSS feed.
- The feed:
/feedis a stream of short posts that PostOnly itself publishes to the site through Total CMS, the same way it posts to Bluesky or Mastodon.
- What the client changes
- No client here: I write the release notes and articles, and the app itself posts to /feed.
- Why Total CMS
- Total CMS is one of the places PostOnly posts to, so its own site had to run on it. Every post on /feed arrives from the app through the same path a customer's site would use, which makes the site a working demo of the integration.
I built PostOnly to post to my own sites first, and Total CMS made that the easy part. The app sends a post, the site publishes it, and I never have to open an admin to keep /feed current.
